Meet Douglas
Originally from Los Angeles, I bring a unique combination of military discipline, educational leadership, and hands-on real estate experience to every client I serve.
As a proud United States Navy Veteran with 10 years of active-duty service, I learned early the value of responsibility, precision, and service to others.
At just 21 years old, while still serving on active duty, I purchased my first duplex using the VA home loan and managed the property myself. Since then, I’ve purchased a second duplex in San Diego while managing my property out of state, as well as a personal condo in Vista using a conventional loan. These experiences give me a firsthand understanding of everything from VA financing to multi-unit investment ownership, tenant management, and navigating the San Diego real estate market.
Before becoming a Real Estate Professional, my professional journey focused on education and empowering others. I earned my Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and began my career as a business instructor at UEI College. I later transitioned into higher education admissions at the University of Arizona Global Campus, and eventually moved into the technology and cybersecurity sector as a Military Admissions Advisor at the California Institute of Technology.
Over the years, I’ve helped countless service members earn high-level IT certifications, including Security+, CCNA, and CEH, which I also personally hold. My background in admissions and teaching allows me to explain complex processes clearly and guide clients with patience, knowledge, and confidence.
Outside of work, I’m a father of three and an avid reader who constantly studies markets, business, leadership, and personal development. I believe that being relatable and approachable is just as important as professional expertise. My clients often connect with me not just because of my experience, but because I understand real-life challenges balancing family, military life, finances, and long-term goals.
Although I’ve lived in several places during my military career, San Diego became home. I have lived here for over 12 years. I know the neighborhoods, the communities, and the lifestyle, and I’m committed to helping clients discover the right fit, whether they’re relocating, investing, or purchasing their first home. My approach is simple: be honest, be knowledgeable, and put the client’s needs first. I don’t believe in sales pressure; your satisfaction and long-term success are always my top priorities.
As both a homeowner and investor myself, I understand that real estate isn’t just a transaction; it’s a major life decision. My mission is to guide, support, and protect my clients at every step with transparency, expertise, and genuine care.
